WHO WE ARE

Established in the market town of Machynlleth in 1983, Advice Mid Wales was originally part of the Citizens Advice network. We became an independent registered charity in 2005 so that we could best continue to meet the needs of our local community (Registered Charity No. 1111040).

We are members of Advice UK, the country's largest professional body representing the independent advice sector. Over the last 40 years we have developed strong ties within our community and have become widely known for the quality of the services we offer. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are professional, knowledgeable and approachable. We also have a board of Trustees made up of representatives from the wider community. Each year we handle an increasing number of cases and enquiries, and no matter what the problem, we strive to provide a helping hand.
